UNTIMELY is a somewhat more pastoral album than the other two parts of the trilogy. It is far from easy listening, but does offer up rich themes, warmer melodic progressions and at times delicate musical moments. It too contains a good measure of powerful music in the form of three extended conceptual, multi-part works.

It demonstrates again that Chekalin is not simply a musician, but truly a composer extraordinaire who can tap into both the head and heart aspects of music as art. He's always searching for, and ultimately discovering and imaginatively expressing the visions of his creative soul in myriad different ways.
